Buried Treasure - VHS

Ashton View Promotions traveled to the far corners of the world to bring the fan of the Essentially Juli series — as seen repeatedly on Playboy TV — this beautiful and light-hearted adult film. The title Buried Treasure refers to the fact that all the XXX sex scenes in this movie were shot for Playboy TV and they are [were] only interested in soft core. [Yeah, well, that was before they started going broke. Of course the executives never did effectively embrace their new “openness,” and eventually had to sell the company, so that should be a lesson to us all. … If you decide to do something, stand behind it completely, and never look back. …]

As the president of Ashton View Promotions, Juli firmly believes that faking hard core sex in order to achieve the “pretend sex” for soft core movies constitutes folly, at best. It also seems fundamentally dishonest to shoot sex scenes and not to allow the actors to really have sex, should they so desire. Juli prefers to shoot sex as it really happens and edit the footage so that the soft core markets, such as Playboy, are happy. Obviously this corporate policy results in Ashton View Promotions ending up with a bunch of honestly hot sex scenes never before seen. Hence the title, Buried Treasure. [This has to be great: How many times do you see the word “hence” in the description of a porn movie?]

The plot (and of course there must be one) places Juli as an Australian beauty who aspires to be a famous American porn star. Of course, it was necessary for Juli to travel to the South Pacific and Fiji in order to shoot the wraps for this movie. There is a bit of The French Lieutenant's Woman thrown in, so that the fan may see Gary Gray and Juli as they flush out the script. Follow Juli to Budapest where she and her good friend Dee audition local talent for … well, you know what. Juli selects a luscious blonde, Krisz, who speaks only broken English, to do a scene with her. Only after the cameras are rolling does Juli find out from Krisz that she has never had sex with a woman before. The beautiful Krisz does admit to Juli in a sweet, husky voice that she has been “dreaming” of it — not thinking, mind you, but dreaming! [“The dream never dies, just the dreamer.”]

In another scene Juli fantasizes about the life of a porn star, and suddenly we find ourselves in a cell with the Scandinavian Adult Star, Katja Kean. Chris Cannon appears; Katja loses her clothes, and they throw the mattress onto the cell floor. The sex between this Nordic beauty and the always enthusiastic Mr. “Cannon” provides a genital-pounding turn on! [Well, one good turn does deserve another, after all.]

The continued “imaginary” life of a porn star finds Juli in a dressing room with Devinn Lane and Alexandra Silk.
