Odd as it sounds, not very many of the beautiful women in XXX make it to actual "Star Status" ... even in the very loose (so to speak) way we describe it. Actually there are a lot more of the "Legend in Their Own Mind" variety, and a great many that leave the vocation bitter, disenchanted, feeling cheated out of the fame they deserved, and generally bad about ever having entered the business at all. In fact this may be the only modern profession where we see the proliferation of such a circumstance, except maybe Lawyers, but who really wants to talk about them anyway?

Michael Ninn's Porn Star may well be based on Michael's own experiences with the various talent in our business, because it sure sounds like a lot of the people that we've known over the years. "You know, I asked for ROOM TEMPERATURE water," may seem like an absurd thing for a naked woman in the middle of having sex to say, but we've heard a lot crazier. You'd be surprised at how gritty some of these girls can get.

Now. That's a very different thing than saying these beautiful folks don't know how to sexually perform for the camera, and maybe it's because the players in Porn Star could actually relate to Michael's script (as it were) that they seem just a little bit more full of life, a little bit more intense, and actually a little bit more athletic than you usually see in adult cinema. These young women often only feel powerful and in control when they're actually having sex, and Michael captures these raw emotions amazingly well in this show.

We'll save our ruminations on how this all relates to the cosmos for later on in life. For now it will suffice that Porn Star exists as an intense display of the many potential sides of human heat.
